Overview

Audio visual presentation by adventure traveler and photographer Sam Mehta. Sam Mehta's presentation will take a deeper view of South Korea, aiming to show through his lens and narration, the character of this nation with fluid contrasts between modern and traditional. Sam hopes to present diversity of urban and rural areas, DMZ, modern and ancient architecture, arts and crafts, costumes, exotic foods, pop culture, and lingering legacy of Buddhism, Christianity, Shamanism and Confucianism that continue to shape the Korean way of life. Through his images and words Sam will attempt to share fascinating people and places of South Korea, and to paint the state of current affairs. South Korea is facing an aging and a declining population over the next few decades. Sam will share his views on South Korea's other key challenges ahead as the 21st century unfolds. South Korea is a nation at a crossroad seeking to reinvent itself for the next economic miracle.
