New Hampshire, White Mountains,
Kick off your autumn hiking season with this overnight traverse of the spectacular Bonds (Bondcliff, Bond and West Bond) in the heart of the Pemigewasset Wilderness. By the last day of September the fall leaves should be getting bright in the White Mountains. This hike is considered strenuous as it is 21 miles with elevation gain of approximately 4700 ft. The plan is to spend the night at Camp Guyot near the halfway point. The route is comprised of 11 miles between Lincoln Woods and Guyot, and approx. 10 miles from Guyot to the Zealand trail head, crossing over Zealand Mountain along the way. We will choose the direction of the traverse and finalize the route based on the group and cars available.
