1064 Wisconsin Avenue, Georgetown,
Maryland, Capital Area (DC),
Join us for the Annual Meeting of the Potomac Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club with a delicious dinner at the Pinstripes Bistro in Georgetown. The full, four-(or five)-course menu is only $20 per person, not including drinks; we'll pick up the difference in cost. The dinner meeting will start at 5 pm after an optional, afternoon 5-mile hike of historic Georgetown. (See separate calendar entry for information about the hike). Come meet John Judge, President and CEO of AMC and find out about what has been going on in your Club. Reservations are required for this dinner meeting... Please contact Lindsay Middelton directly (LindMidd@gmail.com) by November 8 to reserve. Payment of $20 per person must also be received by November 8 by (a) check made out to "AMC PC" and mailed to Mike Darzi (PO Box 2308, Rockville, MD 20847), or (b) PayPal to Mike (Mike.Darzi@gmail.com). Reserve early because space is limited and cannot be guaranteed! The main agenda items for the meeting will be the election of the Chapter's Executive Committee officers, special guests from AMC's national headquarters and discussions of Chapter issues. Most importantly, the meeting is a great opportunity to meet and get to know better other members and non-members with similar interests in the outdoors. When & Where: Come at 5 pm to the Pinstripes Bistro (1064 Wisconsin Avenue, Georgetown; http://goo.gl/1GeirH). It is on the west side of Wisconsin Avenue, NW, south of M Street, next to and above the C&O Canal. Parking: Street parking is conveniently free on Sundays. Also, there are some $5 parking discounts that will be given out on a first-come-first-served basis with dinner reservations. The discounts (per vehicle, not per guest) are for use at the Georgetown Park (Colonial Parking) parking garage at 1080 Wisconsin Ave, right near Pinstripes. Request a discount from Lindsay when arranging a reservation.
