Overview

The MidState Trail Committee is an active part of the AMC Worcester Chapter which is the reason for including the MidState hikes as part of the Worcester Chapter's 100th Anniversary Celebration! Join us for a Friday morning hike (or snowshoe) on the MidState Trail in Douglas, MA. The hike will be ~7 miles at a moderate pace (1.5-2 mph) and consists of rolling terrain. Some trails are wide and some are narrow and rocky. We will hike to the southern most point of the MidState Trail in MA (and look for the granite monument at the MA / RI border) and then continue the hike through the Douglas State Forest to Route 16. Winter gear will be required including microspikes and snowshoes. Car spot will be required.
