Let's stretch our legs and walk off some Thanksgiving dinner. This hike will skirt Beach Pond, and take us through some pretty, fern lined ledges before reaching the lake edge again. This forested path has some mild ups and downs, but not strenuous. We plan to walk about 2.5 miles to a beach front spot for lunch or snack, then return the same route, for a total of approx. 5 miles. If the weather is wonderful and folks would like, we can extend the hike a bit further. THIS IS HUNTING SEASON, WEARING ORANGE IS A MUST. Wear sturdy footwear and clothing layers of fleece/down, no cotton please.
Interstate 95 S to exit 5A. Merge onto Rt 102 south/Victory Highway toward Exeter RI. Turn Right onto Rt 102 south/ RI Rt 3 south Nooseneck Hill Rd. Continue to follow Rt 3 for approx. 1.3 miles. Turn Right onto Rt 165 West/Ten Rod Rd. Travel approx. 7 miles on Rt 165 west to parking area at Beach Pond on the right.
