Medawisla Lodge and Cabins,
Come out to Medawisla Lodge and experience a winter wonderland in Maine's 100 Mile Wilderness. AMC Registered Maine Guides will take you around Medawisla exploring new ski trails and snowshoeing up nearby mountains. Come out and see spectacular views of Baxter State Park and experience wonderful wildlife tracking opportunities throughout the weekend. We will meet our program participants at Medawisla Lodge and Cabins where there will be time to explore the new facility, have a delicious meal, and go over the weekend schedule. The next morning we will have breakfast at 8am and after go over the basics of classic XC skiing and snowshoeing learning about each skill, practicing with games and activities, and ending with a hike we will have to ski to and then snowshoe up. Learning new skills will be a fun challenge and we will have plenty of time to relax and sauna before dinner at 6pm. The next morning after breakfast will be a short guided ski or snowshoe looking for signs of animals and enjoying the frozen pond views.
