Join us for our first weekend embracing a new adventure exploring the 84-mile Standing Stone Trail [SST] which connects the Tuscarora and Mid State Trails and is part of the Great Eastern Trail. This beautiful rocky footpath traverses central Pennsylvania through two state parks, two state forests, a national historic district plus much more. Our trek will include two day hikes approximately 10 miles each day including the historic Greenwood Spur. Arrive Thursday evening; depart Sunday after an optional stop at Altoona [horseshoe curve and railroad museum] or State College. Accommodations at lakeside cabins in Camp Blue Diamond, Petersburg includes fully stocked kitchen, running water, heat, TV and bathrooms - approximately $81/per person for three nights.
