Overview

Join us for the start of the Great Maine Outdoor Weekend with a hike in the woods and on the beach. We will either start with a road walk or end with a road walk. We will do some of the ski trail and then join the Little River Trail which comes out at Todd's Point. Low tide is at 12:36pm so walking the beach back will be no problem. Depending on timing, we may have our lunch at the beach or continue up to Griffith Head for more views and lunch there. Plan on about 4 miles of hiking. Snowshoes required if snow is deep enough. Microspikes or similar traction will also be required. There is a park fee. To register: Please email and include info on level of experience, gear and a phone contact.

An avid outdoors person, Michelle has been leading hiking, paddling, cross country skiing and overnight outings for several years now. Michelle lives in Topsham but enjoys spending a lot of time in mid Maine at their cabin in Elliottsville (near AMC's MWI lands). Michelle and her husband, Stan are corridor monitors on the AT. They urge everyone to give back with trail work.
