Overview

Join us for an above-treeline hike to two 4000-footers in winter. We'll head north from Jackson to Pierce to enjoy views of the southern Presidentials and Mount Washington. We will hike about eight miles, gaining 2900 feet of elevation. This trip requires previous experience hiking 4000-footers in winter. Register at REGI link http://regi.amcboston.org/1764 Full above-treeline gear including full face protection and appropriate winter boots and crampons, snowshoes, and microspikes (we'll decide at the trailhead what traction to carry). See recommendations at hbbostonamc.org/docs/Gear_lists/Winter_Dayhike_equip.pdf and ask a leader/co-leader if you have any questions. Participants may be asked at the trailhead to carry some group gear.
