Overview

Come join in this special 100th Anniversary: President's Day Weekend Hike to the summit of Mt. Watatic. We will be hiking the Wapack Trail (yellow blazes). This is a 3 mile out and back trip on moderate terrain. Elevation gain is about 900 feet. Views from the Summit include: Wapack Range, Mt. Monadnock, and Wachusett. Elevation begins to ramp up half mile in. We will be going at a light to moderate pace and stopping to de-layer/layer as needed, and for water breaks. Proper, broken in, and waterproof/insulated hiking boots are required for this hike. Since this is a winter hike, microspikes and or crampons as well as snowshoes are required for this hike. Unsafe weather conditions will cancel this hike. Pre-registration is required for this trip.
