This hike is along the Appalachian Trail. We will summit the modest peaks of Becket Mountain and Walling Mountain, and end with a view of Finerty Pond covered in snow. Then we will turn around and retrace our steps back to our cars.

Rating: B3C (B = distance of 5-8 miles, 3 = moderate pace of 1.5-2mph, C = average terrain)

This hike is 6 miles with an elevation gain of 870 feet. We will travel at an overall pace of 1.5mph. Most of this hike is at a moderate incline/decline, with some flat sections.
-microspikes or Hillsounds
-2 pairs of socks (thin and thick)
-multiple insulating layers (no cotton!)
-water bottles (hydration bladders tend to freeze)
Dogs are welcome if they ALWAYS get along well with all other dogs and all people. Dogs MUST be kept on a 10 ft. max leash at all times. Owners must carry proof of current rabies vaccination. Please carry out pet waste.
Afterward, everyone is invited for a late lunch at the Starving Artist Café & Creperie.
