Overview

Late winter gentle loop hike through rolling forested hills in Washington Crossing State Park. We'll visit the winter bird-feeding station (or observe equivalently from inside the Nature Center), and search for tracks of park wildlife. After the hike, hikers may stay for a maple sugaring demonstration outside the Nature House -- this requires separate advance registration with the park, (609) 737-2515 . Wear appropriate layered clothing, footwear for frozen/muddy as needed. Bring water, snacks, lunch if staying. Assemble at Nature Center at 12 noon; we may need to move cars to Greene Grove parking before hiking. Rain cancels, call by 10 am if in doubt.
