Overview

Leisurely paced 10-12 mile round trip flat-water paddle. We will meet and launch at Long Pond in Sturbridge, Paddle through East Brimfield Lake, up the slow moving Quinebaug river through marshes filled with birdlife to Holland Pond and back. PFD, hat, lunch, snacks and 1-2 liters of water required. A few loaner boats are available for registered participants at a nominal charge, arrangements well in advance. Ask the leader to inform the equipment coordinator, David Elliott. Also send your contact info (full name, phone and email) to paddling@amcworcester.org, subject line "Boat Loan."
