UBWPAD 50 Rt. 20 Millbury, MA,
Registration is required for this activity.
Please contact leader.
So where do the poopies go from twelve area communities, representing 260,000 people in the Worcester area? How does wastewater get treated before being put back into the environment? What about all the pills and medications people flush? Or the Barbie doll heads and free toys from McDonald's that show up at our facility?
Join me as we tour one of the largest wastewater facilities in New England and we learn about the treatment process, from both a mechanical and from a science perspective. And you can learn how YOU can be part of the process to protect the treatment facility and subsequently, the environment.
Contact me separately for a meeting location and a time. Limit will be 12 people. Closed toe shoes a must. Hardhat and safety glasses will be provided.
Heavy rain cancels this activity. Heavy rains means I will have to work at this facility!
