Le Verendrye is northwest of Montreal DIFFICULTIES: 6 Class I rapids 1 Class I-II rapid 4 Class II rapids 7 Class II-III rapids 1 Class III rapid 4 Class IV rapids(portage) 1 waterfall(portage) Any of the rapids can be portaged or lined 1 ledge . Fees are 15 dollars Canadian/day or 60 dollars for the trip.Shuttle cost will be split evenly The Trip is dotted with islands and beaches It is a 7 1/2 hour drive from the Massachusetts boarder. .This is a group route if we have 10 or more people tent sharing is not need if we have less than that you may need to share a tent because the non group site do not allow many tents . You will need a Passport or Passport Card to go into Canada There is also restrictions on food and No Knifes or Pocket Knives unless it is part of a multi-tool. You will need to be able to carry your Canoe and gear on the portages and paddle 8 to 10 miles a day. there are rental there also. You will be responsible for reserving your rental Register by April 15 so I can make reservations There are 16 portages almost 2000 m most of the portages are short and include rapid If you run the rapid You do not have to portage or you can portage your gear. Canoe Rentals is available there or through the NH AMC
