AMC Echo Lake Camp,

This one-week volunteer vacation in Acadia is an opportunity to stay in a beautiful location and help preserve hiking trails in Acadia National Park. Participants will stay at AMC's Echo Lake Camp, located in Southwest Harbor. The camp has single occupant canvas walled tents furnished with a cot, as well as full bathhouse with hot showers. All meals will be provided by AMC staff. During the day Monday-Thursday, participants will work with trained AMC staff to complete trail work projects in Acadia National Park. These projects are determined by the Park Service and may include building drainage ditches, brushing back vegetation, elevating trail tread, or building log steps. After each work day and on the Friday free day, Echo Lake Camp offers many opportunities for both nearby recreation and relaxation. Registration will open in early 2024 for this program.
