The Winnipesaukee River will have guaranteed water during daylight hours starting at 11:00 on Friday, June 14, through Sunday June 16 for the annual Winni River Days event. Camping will be available Friday and Saturday nights. This event helps support the new Whitewater Play Park in downtown Franklin Let's kick off the weekend with a Friday afternoon run on the Upper Winni (Class 2). This is a short run that gradually builds from Quickwater to Class II, making it perfect for newer whitewater paddlers. More experienced paddlers can practice some Class 3 moves (with Class 2 consequences if you miss), making this an ideal warmup for the weekend. You will need a whitewater-capable kayak or canoe with flotation. Kayaks will need a sprayskirt. Helmets and PFDs must be worn at all times when on the river.
