Join us for a 3-day Presidential mountains hike and stay overnight at the Mizpah Spring Hut and the Lakes of the Clouds Hut on Friday night May 31 and Saturday night on June 1, 2024. With a moderate pace, we will hike up about 2.6 mi and 1,900 ft elevation gain on Friday evening to the Mizpah Spring Hut (3,777 ft). Then on Saturday early morning we will start the hike to summit Mt Isolation (4003 ft), Mt Washington (6288), then will stay at the Lakes of the Clouds Hut (5,012 ft) on Saturday night. Day 2 will be a 12- mile hike and 2,942 elevation gain. Early Sunday morning, we will hike Mt. Monroe (5372 ft), then Mt. Franklin (5,001 ft), Mt Eisenhower (4,760 ft), Mt Pierce (4,312 ft). Day 3 will be 7 mile hike and 1822 ft elevation gain. In total a 21.6 mile round trip and 6,541 ft elevation gain. These open summits feature incredible 360-degree views. Please note this hike is considered strenuous and above tree line exposure can make it extremely hazardous, as such this hike is for experienced hikers with fitness and gear to match the conditions. Hikers should have completed similar hikes, preferably in similar conditions, within the last 3 months. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out. Cost includes lodging at the the Mizpah Spring Hut and the Lakes of the Clouds Hut in shared bunk rooms, breakfast Saturday at the the Mizpah Spring Hut, shared bunk room lodging at the Lakes of the Clouds Hut Saturday night, along with dinner and breakfast at the hut. Does not include lunches or snacks. Payment: The fee to stay for two nights at the Huts is $366 per person for AMC members and $385 for non AMC members. Approved participants will be given a link to pay to the NH AMC chapter. Cancellation and refund policy: full refund less a $10 per person, per night fee for cancellations made 15 or more days prior to arrival date; no refunds for cancellations made fewer than 15 days prior to arrival date.
