This easy walking tour will explore the hillsides, valleys, and waterways around the northern lakes of England's Lake District National Park. Daily activities will include short hikes, 3-7 miles, on gentle terrain with frequent stops to visit mansions, gardens, historical and cultural sites. We will make excursions to sites associated with the literary greats Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth, take a ride on a landmark railroad, and enjoy a lake cruise on a steamship. We will enjoy the local cuisines and flavors of the delightful countryside of Northern England, with views of the drop-dead beautiful fells in the distance.
