Overview

Annual trip to Phoenix Shelter, Worcester Chapter's northern outpost. Provide some sweat equity, with a lot of fun and enjoyment mixed in. Includes trail work on the new Henderson Brook Trail and checking the status of the shelter. 1-mile backpack to Phoenix Shelter where we'll set up camp. Great for beginner backpackers. Never a dull moment! Opportunities to hike, kayak, trout fish and eat. Moose still seen every year! Carpooling to be arranged.

An avid outdoorsman, Steve is past Chair of the Worcester Chapter and is the recipient of the AMC Distinguished Service Award.. He is certified in advanced wilderness first aid, a member of the 4000 Footer Club, a trail adopter in Maine and a Leave No Trace Awareness instructor. On most weekends you can find Steve in the woods or on the rivers and lakes of New Hampshire and Maine.
