Overview

Instruction in general mountain safety, clothing, equipment, nutrition, risk management and trip planning. Includes introduction to high mountain hiking and map and compass. Intended for individuals with medium amount of hiking experience who would like to move up to higher mountain activities safely. Anticipate hiking as much as 4 miles at a slow pace with occasional uphill grades. Spend maximum time outside in small group of 8 participants and two instructors. This workshop will begin promptly at 7:30pm on Friday evening, ending Sunday afternoon at approximately 4:30pm. Adult: $290 member / $310 non-member
*2 nights lodging at Cardigan, 2 breakfasts, dinner Saturday night , lunch Sunday, training materials and course work.
