From Old Mountain Road we will hike the Wapack Trail to the summits of North Pack Monadnock and Pack Monadnock. This will be an out-and-back hike for 8.5 miles with an elevation gain of approximately 2,200 feet. We should have excellent views of the mountains in New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts, as well as the skyline of Boston. On our return route we will use the Cliff Trail to climb to North Pack Monadnock. This will add some minor rock scrambling, as well as some outstanding views. The hike will be led at a moderate but steady pace. The rain date will be Sunday May 19. Registration is required and a leader will contact you regarding your hiking background. At that time you will have the opportunity to get answers to any questions you have about the hike.
