We are seeking a person who is passionate about the outdoors and who knows their way around numbers and how to make them balance. You will be trained by and work with the current Chapter Treasurer to administer the Chapter's finances. The position requires a time commitment of averaging approximately 1 hour/day with additional time required during the budget and audit periods. Principle (but not all) responsibilities include: Under supervision of Treasurer, process and record all receipts and disbursements in the Chapter financial statements; reconcile monthly the Chapter's bank accounts, transaction reports generated by Quickbooks and PayPal; work closely with activity committees in support of their PayPal usage; assist the Treasurer in the preparation of the annual budget, and prepare the annual audit package for submission. No formal experience required but familiarity with Quickbooks, PayPal and Excel reporting a plus as is familiarity with GAAP accounting rules.
