Let's get outside in the Blue Hills to enjoy the spring. This hike is part of a weekly Sunday morning hike series. We will vary our locations each week. This week we will hike Sassaman Notch, Barberry Bush and mixed trails that include Chickatawbut, Fenno, and Kitchamakin hills. All hikes will be approximately 5-7 miles and up to 1,000 feet of elevation gain within an approximate 3 hour timeframe. The route will include uneven terrain and rock scrambles with possible mud and deep puddles depending on the weather. Warm layers of hiking clothes for spring weather conditions, sturdy footwear, snacks, 1 liter of water (minimum), rain gear, and a backpack are required. Plan on a 9am start. This hike is open to all who qualify, and you do not have to be a member of AMC to participate. Online registration is required. After you register, the hike leader will send you detailed information on the meeting location and planned trails. We look forward to seeing you there!
