Mount Moosilauke,
New Hampshire, White Mountains,
NH United States
Join us for a springtime hike to Mount Moosilauke! A wide open summit dome equals wide open summit views (with mother nature's express permission of course). Moosilauke boasts 360 degree clear day views into Vermont as well as across the White Mountains to the east including Franconia Notch, there are just views all over the place. We will be taking an approach route from the west that will put our total distance at about 12 and a half miles and our elevation gain at about 3300 feet. The usual rocky, white mountain trails will be provided and an expectation of wet, muddy trails with the possibility of lingering snow or ice as well. Those seeking to participate in this hike will have recent and comparable experience hiking in the Whites or similar mountainous regions and have appropriate gear for a spring hike. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out.
