Join us for an overnight stay at the Royalston Shelter located on the Tully Trail in Royalston MA. This is a 3-sided lean-to surrounded by woods with a fire pit and near-by stream for water. This will be an excellent opportunity for those new to backpacking and or those wanting to test out your gear. Event will be a mid-afternoon hike into the shelter of 1/2 mile. We will set up camp and hang the traditional bear bag line. The next day we will hike out back to the cars. No car spotting required. Individuals will be responsible for their own meals (1 dinner/1 breakfast) plus snacks. Please note: Leaders are also offering a day-hike of Tully Trail earlier in the day which is listed as a separate event. You do not need to hike with backpacking gear as we can pick this up on the way into the shelter.
