This "Easy" 2 day mini tour starting on and using the Norwottuck RT from Belchertown into Northhampton and the Canalside Trail in Montague/ Turners Falls to get to the campground at Barton Cove on the CT River in Gill MA. When not on bike paths , we parallel the west side of the scenic CT River on low rolling hills on little traveled roads. Return is a slightly different route on the east side of the river- 37 miles each day. A group campsite has been reserves so we can have up to15 riders. This is a easy/ beginners trip but I ask you to carefully self evaluate your abilities, there is no support vehicle available to rescue you if you fall short. As with almost all our tours, we will travel "fully loaded", that is, carry everything to camp and cook on our bicycles in panniers or in a trailer (no SAG, no backpacks please). We will travel in a group, no one left behind or jumping ahead. Equally shared campsite fee.
