This introductory 2 day backpack is part of the Worcester Chapter's Inner Backpacker Workshop series. We will go deep into the Pemigewasset Wilderness to AMC's 13 Falls campsite at the junction of 2 rivers where numerous cascades, water falls, and swimming holes can be explored. If the clouds hold off, it's a great place for some stargazing too. We will hike at a slow to moderate pace (1.0-2mph). This moderate trip is about 16 mi and has 1300 ft of elevation gain. Participants are expected to be self-sufficient on this trip. Registration preference goes to those who attended the Worcester Chapter's Backpacking Workshop on May 4th, 2024. Backpackers that have not participated in the Backpack Workshop are welcome to register but will be wait listed until 3 weeks prior to the trip when it will open up for approved participants as room allows. Some backcountry hiking experience is preferred but not required for this trip.
