Easy, mostly on woods roads and boardwalk. We will hike two loops at White Memorial. First, we will hike to the boardwalk around the Bantam River. White Memorial is one of the best spots in CT to view spring warblers and other birds, and hopefully we will be treated to some good views. (Binoculars may be helpful.) We will return to the starting point and those who wish can end their hike here. After a snack at the picnic tables, we will hike another loop around a pond and return along wooded trails to the start, for a total of about 4 miles for both loops. Those who wish may carpool from the CPL in Canton at the intersection of Rtes. 179 and 44. Meet at 9:15 for a prompt start. OR meet at White Memorial at 10 AM. White Memorial is off Rte. 202 just past the center of Litchfield. Rain cancels.
