Mount Parker,
New Hampshire, White Mountains,
NH
Join us for an almost-a-loop hike up to Mount Parker, a 52 WAV peak. Despite its height of 3013 feet, our route will be approximately 10.7 miles with 3950 feet of elevation gain! The trail will take us over the low eastern summits of the Montalban Ridge and weather permitting, we should have lovely views from various ledges and also from the open summit of Mount Parker. Our pace will be approximately 1.5 mph and we'll stop along the way for water breaks, to take in the views from the various ledges, and a lunch break at the summits in the sunshine (hopefully)! This hike is considered strenuous and is most appropriate for people with experience hiking mountain terrain of similar distance and elevation gain. This hike will require us to shuttle cars between the beginning and ending trailheads, a distance of 6-miles. Participants will be asked to wear a mask in vehicles. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out.
