Overview

Join us for a combination hike and Scavenger Hunt in historic downtown Yardley! We will gather at Delaware Canal Black Rock Road Access in Yardley along the Delaware Canal Towpath and walk along the towpath to downtown for the start of the Scavenger Hunt. Guided by an app, we will explore some of the downtown and towpath landmarks, delve into some local history, and perhaps uncover hidden talents and skills of those in the group! We will divide participants into teams and unleash you on downtown Yardley to complete 'missions' Come with an open mind, a sense of adventure, and most importantly, a sense of humor! (Teaser - what downtown Yardley restaurant was both a Prohibition Era speakeasy and a stop on the Underground Railroad?). Walk will be 7 - 8 miles on towpath and downtown sidewalks. Moderate pace. At the conclusion of the scavenger hunt, we can gather at Yardley Ice House for refreshments before finishing up the final mile back to our parking location.
