New Hampshire, White Mountains,
Join us on a hike up Garfield. This 10 mile hike is relatively easy as far as New Hampshire 4000 footers go. It follows an old tractor road most of the way, the last quarter mile which is steep and rocky. Excellent views if the weather allows. We will be climbing 3,000 feet so this is a strenuous hike with the summit above tree line. You must be in good shape, own appropriate winter gear and have winter hiking experience to participate in this hike. We plan to hike at an average pace (1.5-2.0MPH).
