Overview

A two night backpack to climb some of the 4,000' peaks in the Seward Range of the Adirondacks. These peaks are all bushwhacks. The trip will be to pack in our gear to a base camp on Friday and then have Saturday to climb peaks and depart Sunday morning. An optional pre trip event is planned for those interested. Camp out the night before at a free Adirondack lean-to with breakfast provided in Chestertown NY and spend 5 hours at the Wild Center in Tupper Lake NY. Driving Directions


Meet in the parking lot of the Wild Center in Tupper Lake NY at 3:00 PM. We will drive to the trailhead as a group. There is cell service in Tupper Lake and none at the trailhead.

I have been leading backpacking trips for the Appalachian Mountain Club and the Adirondack Mountain Club since 1975. I enjoy taking the time to look at the scenery and have a relatively slow pace. I am patient with beginners and enjoy helping them learn new skills.
