Overview

Annual Connecticut AT volunteer season kick-off "get together" and work party activity. All current and prospective CT AT volunteers, including maintainers, patrollers, corridor monitors, Bulls Bridge team, and other interested volunteers are very welcome. The day consists of a short organizational meeting following which we will go out on projects. Projects are: Hiking with the trail maintainers as they do a walk through and inventory of their AT sections; and Boundary monitoring to assess the condition of the AT National Park Service lands. BYO fellowship at end of day. Meet 9am at the Housatonic Valley Association (HVA) in Cornwall Bridge just south of the junction of Rts. 7 & 45. Bring water, lunch, work gloves and (optional) beverage for the post-project wrap-up.
