New Hampshire, White Mountains,
Come join us to hike Mt. Jefferson, New Hampshire's third tallest mountain. If the weather cooperates we will have amazing 360 degree views including Mount Washington to the south. We will climb Mt. Jefferson via an out and back on Caps Ridge Trail. The total mileage will be 5 miles and the elevation gain will be 2,760 feet. Even though we will be taking the easiest route to the summit, the trail is steep, rough, and involves scrambles over ledges. This hike is not a good choice for beginners, hikers who feel uncomfortable on rock slabs, or anyone with a fear of heights. This trip is cross-posted in Hiking/backpacking and Young Members.
