Washington Crossing State Park, NJ,
New Jersey, Central,
Join us on this moderately paced hike of 6-8 miles mostly in the woods of this beautiful park. Meet by 10:00 a.m. in the parking lot of Washington Crossing Historic Park on the PA side of the Delaware River near the restrooms. The entrance to the parking lot is on River Rd. (Rt. 32). Look for a monument with a flagpole at that entrance. Drive back to the small stone building which is the restrooms. For driving directions, click the link below this description. We will hike over the Washington Crossing bridge to the NJ park and explore various trails in the park before stopping at the Nature Center Pavilion for a snack break. Bring lots of water, snacks and/or lunch. Optional stop for late lunch at Dominick's Pizza after the hike. Wear hiking boots or shoes. Dress in layers. Hiking poles recommended. Heavy rain, snow or ice will cancel the hike. If doubtful, check the status of the hike at www.amcdv/AMCCalendar.php or contact the leader before 8:00 a.m.
