The MidState Trail Committee is an active part of the AMC Worcester Chapter which is the reason for including the MidState hikes as part of the Worcester Chapter's 100th Anniversary Celebration! Join us for a Friday morning hike (or snowshoe) on the MidState Trail from Westminster MA to Redemption Rock in Princeton MA. The hike will be ~8 miles* at a moderate pace (1.5-2 mph) and consists of rolling terrain. We will go by Round Meadow Pond, by a cow pasture, through woods, through the Leominster State Forest, up & over Crow Hill and will end at the Redemption Rock monument / parking area. Winter gear will be required including microspikes and snowshoes. Car spot will be required. NOTE: There are several busy road crossings (e.g.: Route 140, Route 2A). *Depending on weather, road & parking conditions, start and/or end locations may be adjusted and hiking mileage could decrease.
