Come join the AMC NH ski chapter on this classic New England back-country ski thru that traverses some of the most remote regions the White Mountains have to offer. This 37 km/23 mile excursion will take us from Zealand Falls to Thoreau Falls before finally reaching Lincoln Woods trailhead via headlamp in the dark. Expect some trail finding and negotiating around/through natural hazards. Strong Intermediate X/C skiers with some backcountry experience along with good fitness for this adventure. Plan on carrying your stocked winter day pack with lunch and dinner we'll enjoy on the trail. Also plan on carrying a portion of the group emergency gear. Some shuttling of vehicles to/from trailhead and WMNF parking passes/cash for parking required. This trip is highly weather dependent. We'll pass through designated wilderness so group size is limited.
