Come ski one of the most classic and challenging backcountry ski trails in New England. The Thunderbolt is a must-do for downhill backcountry skiers. Originally cut in 1934 by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the trail features 2241 ft of vertical drop within 2 miles. It twists and winds through the woods providing the challenge needed to separate the best skiers from the rest in numerous downhill championship races in the 1930s and 40s. Come test yourself on modern ski gear (AT/Tele/Splitboard) in a non-racing tour up this classic.
