Overview

Climb with us and learn the essential skills of climbing steep and lower angled ice. You will gain skills in moving over frozen water using ice axes and crampons as tools to gain purchase on ice. Sturdy winter hiking boots and 12 point crampons are required, otherwise equipment will be provided. Basic top-rope rock climbing skills are helpful, but not necessary. Proper winter clothing and knowledge of managing yourself outside in winter is essential. Come and enjoy the vertical world in winter! Day runs from 9AM to 4PM. Limit 6 participants. Dave has been climbing since he was 17, when he enjoyed climbing ropes in the trees in his backyard. He teaches special education and outdoor education and enjoys winter through skiing, hiking and climbing. He is an AMGA single pitch instructor.
