Washington Crossing State Park, Titusville, NJ,
New Jersey, Western,
3C-11 Let's go for a brisk pre-holiday hike in Washington Crossing State Park and Ted Stiles Preserve in Titusville, New Jersey. Follow the Continental Lane trail that George Washington traversed after crossing the Delaware. We will tromp through not to wake sleeping Hessians in Trenton, but to cross into Ted Stiles Preserve on the other side of Church Road. This park is a little hillier and rockier and offers a pleasant view from the meadow near Bald Pate Mountain. Expect about 10 to 12 miles with a couple escape routes for those desiring fewer miles. Bring lunch, water, and sturdy footwear. This is a show and go hike, but if you have any questions email the leader. Bad weather cancels. Check DV calendar the morning of hike for any cancellations. Meet at Washington Crossing parking lot at the bridge just off of River Road and Rt. 29 at 9:00 am.
