Valley Forge Artillery Park,
*** NOTE: This event will occur at Valley Forge*** This is a run in the woods over rocky irregular ground with roughly 700 feet of elevation most of which comes in two 250 to 300 ft hills over half a mile. Elevation is not a priority. This will be interval training for hikers seeking to enhance overall physical fitness. My expectations are that everyone stop at the designated stops for the group to reform; you can run when others are walking; feel free to walk when others are running. What holds it together are the scheduled stops. I anticipate completing the 6.2 miles in 2 hours including all stops. This event can be described as high intensity interval training designed chiefly for non-trail runners in mind. The group will remain in contact with designated regroup points. The selected trails are rock and root strewn and the footing may be loose (not flat or compacted). Weather advisory - in the event of snow or freezing conditions this event will be a hike. We will be meeting at the Artillery Park parking lot located on East Inner Liner Drive (GPS 40.093825 , -75.448934).
