Overview

Five miles over rolling terrain. Test your map and compass skills on this bushwhack at the Quabbin. Come with your own compass or one can be provided. This hike is intended for those who attend the Feb 14 Map and Compass workshop but will allow others if room is available. Snowshoe or potential wet hike, depending upon weather.

An avid outdoorsman, Steve is past Chair of the Worcester Chapter and is currently 100th Anniversary Chair. He is a Master Leader, certified in advanced wilderness first aid, a member of the 4000 Footer Club, a trail adopter in Maine and a Leave No Trace Awareness instructor. On most weekends you can find Steve in the woods or on the rivers and lakes of New Hampshire and Maine.

Charlie is an avid hiker, paddler, and skier. He's been leading outdoor activities for the AMC since 2005. He is a qualified hike, backpack, winter, and ski leader. He has served in several Chapter leadership roles including former AMC Worcester Chapter Ski chair, Hiking Chair, Vice, Chapter Chair, is currently serving as Past Chair for the Worcester Chapter. Charlie also serves at an AMC club wide level as a Mountain Leadership School instructor MLS since 2010.
