Overview

This will be a small group overnight trip to Lakes of the Clouds (5,012') hut on full service. The hike to the hut is 3.1 miles (2500' gain) via the Ammonusuc Ravine Trail. Weather permitting, day 1 could also include a hike to the summit of Mt. Monroe (.5 mile from the hut). Depending on weather, day 2 could include a hike to the summit of Mt. Washington via Crawford Path, then heading down via the Gulfside and Jewell Trails, completing a loop. Day 2 could be 6.5 miles if we use this route. Please read the descriptions of these trails before deciding to contact the leader to register. Trip to hut is rain or shine. Other hiking is subject to weather conditions. Hut stay includes pillows and blankets. It is up to you if you would like to bring a sleeping bag or sleeping bag liner. Dinner and breakfast are provided. You must bring your own lunches and snacks. Leader will provide gear list. No cotton clothing will be allowed for hiking. Please call leader to register. Grew up playing in the outdoors. Since moving to New Hampshire from Montana she completed the 48 4K's, the Long Trail and is currently working on the 67 4K's. Terri enjoys the camaraderie that leading hikes for the AMC has provided. She backpacks, kayaks and enjoys winter sports. Terri likes to play and New England is a great playground.
