Overview

Come join us for a Multi-Chapter/Multi-Committee weekend Family Camping & Paddling @ Barton Cove, Gill, MA. Learn paddling & camping techniques. We will have lots of camping fun, and lots of paddling time! Overnight camping & outdoor cooking at it's best with S'More's galore at an evening campfire. Participate in a local hike, or maybe a night hike and star gazing. You get to camp in your own tent at our group site with water views, and share in communal meal prep and camp chores throughout the weekend with like minded families. Learn paddling techniques with trained AMC Paddling Leaders; camping & hiking skills with trained Family Program Leaders. Recommended for children ages 8+ for independent paddling, but younger kids are welcome as well. No paddling experience necessary. Watercraft rentals are available, or bring your own! Fee: $40/Adults, $30/Kids. Includes campsite & meals. Watercraft fee/rental separate and NOT included/covered by trip fee. Adult: $40 member / $40 non-member
Youth: $30 member / $30 non-member
Child: $30 member / $30 non-member
*2 nights of tent camping on Group Site; 2 Breakfasts, 1 Lunch, 2 Dinners Boat rental NOT included. Rental fee from Paddlesports: $42.50 including tax, paddles and PFD's/day (9AM- 6PM) or, $25/ 2 hours. First come first serve basis for rentals.

Barton Cove, 82 French King Hwy., Gill, MA 01354. CHECK-IN at the Campground Office and Paddlesport Center located near State Boat Ramp. From Springfield Area: I-91 North toward Greenfield, Exit 27 onto Rte 2 East. 3.6 miles, destination is on your right. From Berkshire Area: I-90 East to I-91 North to Rte 2 East. Aprox time:1 hour 15 mins. From Worchester Area: I-190 North to MA 2-West. Travel aprox. 47 miles, Destination is on the left. (aprox. 1 hour 15 mins) From Boston Area: Rte 2 West toward Greenfield. Aprox. 60 miles from I-495. Aprox. time : 2 hours.
