Medawisla Lodge and Cabins,
Registration is required for this activity.
(best time to call: 9am-5pm, Monday-Saturday)
There is so much that the Maine Woods has to offer, there is hiking, fishing, canoeing, and also mountain biking. Come out this weekend for an introductory class that will hit on the basics of mountain biking and get you out exploring the trails in a different way. The AMC Registered Maine Guides will have hands on lessons that will get you familiar with the different parts of a mountain bike and how to fix bike problems while out on the trail. We will go over some rules of the road, and lastly will get you out on a mountain bike exploring our trails and roads. It will be a great weekend to learn a new skill. No prior knowledge of mountain biking is necessary as long as you know how to ride a bike! We have Mountain bikes available to rent just let us know in advance and we can set you up. The guests are lodged in private rustic cabins with capacities ranging from two to twelve people. All cabins contain wood stoves, gas lights and beds. Bedding is not provided in the bunkhouse. Hearty breakfasts and dinners are served family style each morning and evening in the lodge dining room. Each morning lodge staff prepares trail lunches for each participant that are available after breakfast.
