Medawisla Lodge and Cabins,
Registration is required for this activity.
(best time to call: 9am-5pm, Monday-Saturday)
This program is for families with kids who love the water and exploring new places. Friday evening after dinner meet the group and go on a short sunset walk by the pond to get to know each other and the area. After breakfast on Saturday there will be guided instruction on canoe paddling and safety. The AMC Registered Maine Guides will take families around 2nd Roach Pond looking for Moose and other wildlife. After canoeing families can add kayaking and paddling boarding to new skills they can learn. Lunch will be eaten at Medawisla and then guides can teach families how to fly fish and will shuttle families to some remote ponds nearby to canoe, fish, and explore. That evening after dinner learn how to make a fire and cook up some delicious campfire desserts. Then Sunday after breakfast join the guides in a short walk to Hinkey Cove and do some pond exploration catching frogs and other critters with some water nets before you go. Come and join us on a water filled weekend at Medawisla Lodge that the family will never forget.
