Registration is required for this activity.

Paddle 8 miles on the South Branch of the Raritan River from Flemington to Neshanic Station Township. There will be at least one portage over Rockerfellows Mill Rd. Dam and fun few other ripples along the way. Hopefully, the Bald Eagles will return to their nest for another year. We will pass by a few parks, farmland and several bridges as well. Lunch will be at Old York road in Three Bridges which will be an opportunity for an early out. Basic Paddling Skills Required. Must know how to steer, turn a boat and paddle in a straight line. PFDs will be worn at all times as requirement of the trip. Arrive at put-in by 11:00 am. Be ready for a shuttle by 11:30 pm. This will get us on the river by 12:30 pm or earlier. This trip will be postponed or canceled if there is heavy rain, 70% chance or better pending heavy thunderstorms, or water level that is below 4 .0 feet or above 5.5 feet, as per USGS 01397420. Kayaking is an all-weather sport so we will go in the light rain. Your RSVP is REQUIRED at least 2 days before the event. Please call the trip leader after 8 AM on the day of the event to confirm that you are coming and that the trip is on.
