Bring a friend and enjoy a hazy, lazy paddling weekend in Stone Lodge. This laid back, free and easy weekend is perfect for a Girls Weekend Away! Gain confidence in canoes and kayaks with other ladies in this weekend. Eileen will review basic canoe and kayak strokes, followed by a lazy paddle to the far side of the lake. No experience is necessary. Paddlers of all levels are welcome, but must be comfortable swimming in deep water. If you would rather stay closer to shore, enjoy free time hiking, swimming, sunbathing or simply relaxing. We will share Communal Meals that we prepare together in Stone Lodge. BYO adult beverages and Social Hour snacks to share. We will stay in Stone Lodge and the Beaver Brook tent platforms, Choose to stay in either a newly renovated cabin or a Tent Platform. Stone Lodge has 3 bedrooms, each with 4 bunks There is a large center common room, full kitchen and en suite bathrooms. Beaver Brook Tent Platform can accommodate 4 2-person backpacking tents, which can be borrowed from the camp. Modern bath houses are nearby and have hot showers and flush toilets. This event is led by the chapter's Harriman Program Committee Volunteer Leaders. Paddling and yoga equipment at the camp are provided free of charge courtesy of the NY-NoJ Chapter. Personal canoes & kayaks are allowed on Breakneck Pond; no permit is required. Registration Registration is mandatory. Ladies Canoe & Kayak programs fill quickly, so register early! Space is limited to 12 cabin and 4 camping guests. Register by Wednesday June 27 midnight for Reduced Early Bird Prices. Registered guests will receive an Information Sheet at least one week prior to the event. Cost Early Bird Prices Cabin: $165 Members / $220 Non-members Camp: $115 Members / $155 Non-Members After June 27 midnight ... Cabin: $185 Members / $240 Non-members Camp: $135 Members / $175 Non-members Cancellation Policy Reservations cancelled more than 14 days in advance receive a full refund minus a $25 processing fee. Reservations cancelled 14 days or less in advance are not refundable. If the AMC must cancel a program, registrants will be notified and all fees will be refunded. Normal weather will not cancel this event.

*Full rate list is in Event Description. All rates includes 2 nights accommodation (Fri & Sat), 2 dinners (Fri & Sat), 2 breakfasts (Sat & Sun), and program leadership provided by volunteer leaders. All meals, incl Trail lunches, may be purchased separately. There is a 20% late order surcharge if you order meals at the camp. Driving Directions

Public Transportation: Take either the NJ Transit/Metro North train from New York Penn Station to Tuxdeo, or the Shortline bus from the 42nd Street Port Authority to Tuxedo. Click HERE to see the Van Shuttle pickup schedule. Call the camp office (617-523-0636 ext 6522) in advance to reserve a seat ($5 one way). Driving: The camp is about 45 minutes from NYC. Drive to Harriman State Park which is off the Palisades Parkway. The gate to the camp is on Lake Welch Parkway (41.217869, -74.106021). Drive up to the camp office to check-in and unload your gear. Then park in the big field. We encourage carpooling but do not arrange it. Try using this ride sharing app
