Enjoy a healthful, mindful and fun weekend with morning Yoga and restful days. Join certified Yoga Instructor, Sandy Wavrick for classes designed for the mind, body and heart. Learn new poses and breathing techniques for all levels. All yoga equipment is provided. Then relax by swimming or boating in our private lake, or by hiking on nearby trails. Toni Sardella will organize Community meals. We'll all pitch in with the prep and clean up. Enjoying community meals together is a favorite chapter activity. Bring Your Own Adult Beverages and Lunch. Choose to stay in either a newly renovated cabin or a Tent Platform. Stone Lodge has 3 bedrooms, each with 4 bunks There is a large center common room, full kitchen and en-suite bathrooms. Beaver Brook Tent Platform can accommodate 4 2-person backpacking tents, which can be borrowed from the camp. Modern bathhouses are nearby. This event is led by the chapter's Harriman Program Committee Volunteer Leaders. Paddling and yoga equipment at the camp are provided free of charge courtesy of the NY-NoJ Chapter. Personal canoes & kayaks are allowed on Breakneck Pond; no permit is required. Registration Registration is mandatory. Yoga programs fill very quickly, so register early! Space is limited to 12 cabin and 4 camping guests. Register by Wednesday, July 25 midnight for Reduced Early Bird Prices. Registered guests will receive an Information Sheet at least one week prior to the event. Cost Early Bird Prices Cabin: $165 Members / $220 Non-members Camp: $115 Members / $155 Non-Members After July 25 midnight . Cabin: $185 Members / $240 Non-members Camp: $135 Members / $175 Non-members Cancellation Policy Reservations cancelled more than 14 days in advance receive a full refund minus a $25 processing fee. Reservations cancelled 14 days or less in advance are not refundable. If the AMC must cancel a program, registrants will be notified and all fees will be refunded. Normal weather will not cancel this event.
The camp is easily accessible by public transportation. Take either the NJ Transit/Metro North train from New York Penn Station to Tuxdeo, or the Shortline bus from the 42nd Street Port Authority to Tuxedo. Click HERE to see the Van Shuttle pickup schedule. Call the camp office (617-523-0636 ext 6522) in advance to reserve a seat ($5 one way). The camp is about 45 minutes from NYC. Drive to Harriman State Park which is off the Palisades Parkway. The gate to the camp is on Lake Welch Parkway (41.217869, -74.106021). Drive up to the camp office to check-in and unload your gear. Then park in the big field. We encourage carpoolling but do not arrange it. Try starting a ride share on www.groupcarpool.com.
